For the Extra Age Brut, Lanson selects 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir grapes from the Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards (Avize, Bouzy, Chouilly, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Verzenay) and unites three grand vintage years: 2000, 2002, and 2004. This blend is aged for at least 5 years in the wine cellar.
Character: At the outset,
tones of yellow fruits and dried fruit evolve into the taste of honey, biscuit
and sweet spices. The clear finish with its freshness is thus typical for the
champagne from Lanson.
Suitable with: The aroma of Extra
Age Brut is perfectly suited for intensive taste dishes, such as scallops with
truffles or lobster gratin.
